I needed a new battery for my laptop because the original battery that came with the laptop when I bought it two years ago was down to giving me 45 minutes or so when it wasn't plugged in. So I bought this battery and it works great giving me 3-4 hours of uninterrupted use on the battery alone. However, i've only had it for a month or two, so i'm uncertain of how it will hold up over the long term.

I got this battery after my old 6 cell battery gave up. This is good battery for the price. I get 4 to 5hrs backup. I can watch 3hrs movie and browse for 5hrs. I recommened this product to all HP pavilion dv6000 users

This battery is amazing. I definitely recommend buying it. I went from 15 minutes of life tops on my old, dying battery to being able to get through two movies on an airplane. I'm now able to use my laptop without being constantly restricted by where the outlets are. The weight is the same as my old battery. It does raise up my laptop by a little, which I thought I wouldn't like, but it turns out that just means my wrists don't get as tired after hours of typing.
