Got this after I busted up my blackberry and the ball came out. This worked awesome. Fit right in, rolled smooth, and did exactly what it was supposed to. Saved my phone!

This trackball is almost as bad as the worn out one that came with my Blackberry Curve. The ball is too loose in it's holder and you have to press down hard to get it to move the cursor which then causes the click function to execute.

I ordered this product because it was well cheap..i waited for it to come in and when it did..it was a tad just a tad TOO small so it didnt work...the prongs were also very very cheap broke off verryy easily..good thing it was soo cheap but i guess you get what you pay for..

This is a tiny plastic ring, by nature or possibly design, very fragile. The first one was broken before it got shipped. It was missing 2 of the little prongs. It was quickly replaced with a quick e-mail. The second one was intact but would not fit over either the new or old track ball. I tried till it snapped in half. BargainCell sent a support e-mail to gauge my satisfaction with their replacement and when I explained the second one failed to work they immediately offered a refund, including shipping. If you have dental tools handy or tiny pianist fingers you may not have these issues but we have since ditched the blackberry for a touch screen phone. The customer service from BargainCell was refreshingly thorough and timely. I wouldn't hesitate to buy other products from their store.

I bought five of these and had no trouble installing one of them on my Blackberry 8830 World Edition the moment the package arrived, completing work in under 5 minutes. The new trackball works very nicely. It feels like it has a lighter "touch" than my original equipment trackball, which it replaces. Scrolling is much easier now. This may also be because there was quite a lot of lint and crud collected under the old trackball when I pried it off the Blackberry. I cleaned this out and then installed the new trackball. So I am very pleased with this product.
The down side of the order is that shipping charges were unnecessarily expensive, a little over $14. I think a reasonable charge for the shipping bag, packing material, and postage would be approximately $6.00. And the package took a long time to get to me -- some days, much longer than it should have from California to Maryland. Apparently the seller has an arrangement with a commercial shipper who actually prepares the package for mailing through the United States Postal System. But it was very slow. This greatly annoyed me because my original trackball would not work, rendering the Blackberry useless, and I really felt stranded without the device and connectivity with my own customers. I think the shipping charge is so high that the seller is trying to make a few more dollars from the transaction.
The unit cost of the item itself is very reasonable which is why I bought 5 trackballs.
