Great one July 24, 2010 T. Seyhan These are the best plug adapters I bought. They are tight and durable (unlike many others) and can easily hold battery chargers loaded with 4 AA batteries while others I used failed to carry much lighter cell phone chargers.
Round, grounded adapters are better. July 10, 2010 Daniel (Ithaca, NY United States) Instead of these, I recommend round grounded adapters for US 3-prong as well as 2-prong plugs. Why? Because they have a better, more snug fit on both sides. They fit more snuggly in the Euro/Schuko socket. These flat 2-prong adapters in my experience tend to have a looser connection or even fall out of the socket - esp. if yours is a heavy cable or if it has one of those AD/DC converters at the plug end pulling down on the adapter.
On the other hand, flat 2-prong adapters are slightly more compact and fit better in your pocket. So if you want to get one, I recommend you at least find one that is rubberized or has ridges or a lip to make it easier to pull out of the socket. (The cheap ones made of hard slippery plastic are the worse). And make sure you don't overpay. There are dozens of merchants selling these; make sure you don't pay more than $2/pc including shipping.
Lastly, keep in mind, the schuko socket fits most European countries but not all - most notably UK, and Italy which have their own peculiar sockets.
it helped me have the internet July 2, 2010 JohnPaul O'Hare (Boston, Massachusetts, US) they were easy to use, they were cheap, and i got 2 of them
and i was finally able to use my laptop once i got them
Very Good Transaction June 18, 2010 Domel (NJ United States) Not much say about the product it self it's a simple plug and it does it's job well. I'm very satisfied with the transaction. The seller did not charge me for shipping and handling on this purchase so the price for the product was the actual amount i payed. There were similar products from other sellers for lower price but they added a shipping and handling fee which was 3 times the amount of the product it self.
Not very useful in England... April 12, 2010 C. Go (Valencia, CA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm sure these work fine in some parts of England but in London most of the outlets were of the Universal variety. So didn't really help me at all. But I will tell you something, Europe is sure screwed up when it comes to electrical outlets. To be honest, if you are traveling out there, it would probably be best to just wait and see what type of adapter you will need. If you are staying at a hotel, they will just lend you the adapter at no charge...
