I was in a hurry when I ordered this to use with my iPhone (my fault) but it's the exact opposite of what you need if you intend to use a wired headset as I was. This has a 2.5 mm male side that goes into the phone and a 3.5mm female receptical that your headset would plug into. This is the exact opposite of what an iPhone would use with a wired headset. The male plug needs to be 3.5 mm and the female receptical needs to be a 2.5mm. I knew this, but in my haste, read the description and just ordered it.
Since it was only a couple bucks, it's not worth returning. My fault but ignore the description as it's wrong for iPod/iPhone users.

I bought this adapter to use with a Blackberry cell phone and id did't work. The seller soon inform me that in Cellphones you need to not plug it all the way witch is unreasonable, Why would I buy something that does not performed as advertised in the first place.

WOW! Just got off the phone with a customer service rep from Super Deal about my dissatisfaction with my order, mind you that the product was not an issue, works great! I just recieved it a lot later than expected. Needless to say, they called me (not me calling them)after my feedback post,gave me a refund for total order amount, granted it was a small amount, but the impact of the Great Customer Service (PRICELESS)will definately ensure that I will continue to shop with them in the future,and I will tell all my friends, and hope this encourages others to purchase from this store.

You don't get stereo sound if you push the 3.5mm male all the way into the female. You only get mono sound.
If you push it half way in, you get stereo but then the cable disconnects if you move.
